About Us

Officially incorporated in 1983, a group of caring community members saw a need for a "safe place" for the kids of Kihei. Fast forward 40 years and several thousands of youth members later, we are continuing to serve our community with positive youth services throughout the year.

Our MISSION is to "strengthen the community through positive youth and family development by providing educational, recreational, vocational, cultural, social and prevention programs in a safe, healthy and nurturing environment embodied by Native Hawaiian values."

Our VISION... "We envision an ever-increasing island movement to revitalize, promote and perpetuate the quality of life in our community. KYC will be a recognized contributor and leader in this movement."

KYC is a year-round, after-school/vacation program that focuses on providing a safe place for youth between 8 and 18 years old. Programming services include complimentary snacks and meals along with positive youth programs such as homework, assistance, prevention education, character development, health and wellness, financial literacy, cultural explorations and much more. KYC has been a fixture in South Maui for over 40 years and offers an array of age appropriate youth services for all youth with no geographic restrictions...e komo mai.
